They call it puppy love

Any one who has the pleasure of meeting me for more than 5 minutes (I assure you its always a pleasure) will soon tell you that I do not just like dogs, I am mildly obsessed with the hairy creatures. I have been for as long as I can remember, or at least since we bought our beloved Lab Leo when I was 8.
There are a number of things I quite detest about growing up, responsibilities, pesky bills, getting hangovers when you didn't used to, the pressures of a real life job; however a massive pro is that many of my friends are buying dogs. This therefore means I now have loads of the furry friends to visit whenever I want without actually having the responsibility of owning one of my own just yet. I get to have all the fun times without the feeding, walking, picking up messes.....WINNING!
I am of the opinion that buying a dog in your 20's which many of my peers have done is a way of testing out whether you can actually look after another living thing other than yourself. If you can look after a pooch well surely you can look after a child....hmmmm don't really think that follows suit but who am I to judge.

The thing about dogs is that unlike many other living things, dogs offer unconditional love to their owner (in my experience anyway). There is scientific research to prove that dogs understand emotions, are loyal companions and most the time just downright cute. They don't care that you want to hang around the house in your pajamas all day and look like a hot mess, they are fantastic listeners, they cant talk over the TV and they keep you company all day when your ill watching re-runs of Jezza, whats not to love?

I'm guessing I have at least another 5 years until I can get my own, not really sure where I pulled that figure from, but roughly its the whole 'once I have the responsibility of a mortgage I can handle a dog'. Obscure rational I know. For now though I have the pleasure of visiting these little fellas below. My main man of course being my best friends bulldog called Stan. Ace name I'm sure you'll agree. This little man is pretty much the most awesome dog I have ever met, which means I often flood my Facebook and Instagram with pictures of him, but who wouldn't want to see his squishy face right?
If anyone know of any particularly good dog blogs send the links my way :)
