Sam Smith - In The Lonely Hour Tour

Last night I was lucky enough to go and see Sam Smith for the second time in Birmingham. I booked these tickets the day they were released, only about a week after I saw him the first time in February, it's been a loooong wait. I had high expectations and everything about the gig was fantastic. This guy is honestly one of my favourite male vocalists of all time. I felt pretty fortunate to see him for a second time at the Birmingham o2 Academy because most of the other locations on the sell out tour are huge, something about this just felt more intimate.

His vocals were flawless, his incredibly talented band and backing vocalists were out of this world (Brendan Grieve his bass player throws some serious shapes, which I always appreciate) and the set list was on point with the right break up in slow and upbeat songs. With Sam completing so many dates already and with so many still to come it's amazing how he continues to sing songs off his debut album with the same passion he does when I first saw him. I'm definitely going to beg and borrow to try and find me some tickets to his other gigs. JUST INCREDIBLE, I'm still on a high. If you ever get the chance, he really is a must see performer.
