Life Lately: May so far

Days, weeks and months are flying by, still can't get used to it. Life's been pretty busy as usual, actually remembering what I have been up to from weekend to weekend is a task in itself though so below is some photographic evidence.

A couple of weekends ago a bunch of us got together to celebrate Scottish's birthday at Thorpe Park. To say I was excited was an understatement, I may have been taking us for his birthday, but I'm pretty sure I was more excited, I am like a kid at a candy store when it comes to rides, the bigger the better. We all had a pretty great, but exhausting day filled with lots of laughs, funny photos and some nudity. Certainly a day to remember!!

What else have I been doing? Well I've given myself a challenge to begin reading 1 book per month, at the moment I am reading The Happiness Project and I'm completely taken with it. I love the way Gretchen writes, I love how the content of the book is based on extensive research from hundreds of scientific findings. It's really opened my eyes. and I'm only half way through. Anyway I'll do a little review of this in a separate post.

Ummm what else? I've taken Yoga back up, to be honest I'm not sure why I stopped but I'm well and truly back at it. Although I struggle, and feel like a failure in the class, I'm sticking with it. It's good for my heart and my head.

Me and the sister have been spending some time together bonding over trips to Birmingham, gigs and a few early nights in, it's been pretty great and I'm looking forward to spending more time at home over the coming months. Sometimes I feel like I live out of a bag, but I love the town I live in, I love our little flat and I'm beginning to love a bit of me time so that's firmly on the agenda for next month.

I've been enjoying all that spring has to offer, the sun, the colourful flowers and the chances to take the pooches for walks when the sun is shining and a coat is completely unnecessary. The fresh air can't help but instantly lift your mood!

Finally, I got myself a spontaneous little tattoo this past weekend. I'm a sucker for ink, and if my bank account was bottomless I would be well and truly covered. On Saturday I popped in to see Scottish get his latest piece of ink, when I found out they had a small slot and I knew exactly what I wanted, and ta-da! It was done. I'm going to do a separate post about the meaning of my tattoos, but this one is just a little bit special.
