Kwabs Somerset House

On Friday night the sister and I had tickets to go and see Kwabs perform at Somerset House for the Summer Series and it was nothing short of brilliant.

I've talked about Kwabs before on this blog and basically how talented he is as a performer and yet again on Friday night he did not disappoint even though I have now seen him perform 4 times in the past 12 months. His performances are always flawless and cover a great mix of songs from ones which make you want to dance like no one is watching to ones which take the tempo down a notch or two and just show off the vocal talent he has.

Not only was the performance amazing but the location was breathtaking. Ashamedly so this was the first time I had been to Somerset house to see a performance but it definitely won't be the last. If you haven't been to the venue before, it's easily accessible which makes travelling there a whiz and is never over booked which means your not packed in like sardines, allowing you to shake that ass and throw some shames without giving someone the elbow (always useful). At night it is lit up beautifully making the whole place even more atmospheric. I'll be keeping my eye on what's on there in the future.

We had to sneak away a little early to catch our train back but that's just one of those things, hopefully we didn't miss too much. Now it's just a waiting game for the album to drop on 11th September which I've been waiting for for what seems an age. If soulful singer songwriters are your thing then I can't recommend Kwabs enough, why not check him out on Spotify, you wont be disappointed.

So all in all a pretty brilliant evening and a great start to the weekend. What did everyone else get up to?
