LIFE: A Weekend Full Of Culture

Last weekend turned out to be a great weekend by my standards. It involved steak and a bit of history so what's not to love?!

I'm pretty lucky that I have so much culture on my doorstep, and last weekend we took advantage of that and headed over to Warwick Castle for a day full of history.

Although the castle has been MASSIVELY commercialised in the10 years since I last visited, there was still a lot of history and culture to be taken in.

We went into the dungeons and I positively poo'ed my pants, but it was a right laugh so I strongly recommend it.

We also watched some jousting which is on twice a day and although it was pretty long it was really impressive to see how powerful the horses were!

Once we had walked what felt like miles, purchased some tacky souvenirs and daydreamed that one day we would live in such splendour, we had worked up quite an appetite so we headed over to Birmingham to go to one of my favourite restaurants to eat ALL THE STEAK.

Fiesta Del Asado is Birmingham's first Argentine Asado restaurant and the food is absolutely amazing!! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

We did our usual and shared the Bife de costilla which is essentially half fillet and half sirloin which we had with some creamed spinach and salad, oh and potatoes for the beard! Within half an hour I was full and oh so satisfied and couldn't wipe the smile off my face, it really is such a lovely place to spend a Saturday evening (and it's pretty perfect if you are trying to stay away from the carbs).

I cant recommend this place enough, it's slightly on the pricey side but it's worth every penny. It's also recommended to book early as it soon get's booked up and you'll be disappointed if you don't.

After walking for miles, and stuffing ourselves with steak it was time to call it a day on a pretty perfect Saturday.

*If you fancy a trip to Warwick Castle you can currently collect vouchers on Cadburys bars for 2-4-1 knocking £25 off entry.
